Delivering SS7 to VoIP Services
SS7 Signalling Terminated on 3rd-Party Media Gateways
SS7 TO VOIP
- SS7 Signalling and voice/data are connected directly to the 3rd-Party VoIPMedia Gateway.
- SS7 Signalling backhauled to SVI_MGC Media Gateway Controller overSIGTRAN / Cisco SLT
- SS7 – H.323 / SS7 – SIP conversion performed by the SVI_MGC
- SVI_MGC Media Gateway Controller controls 3rd-Party Media Gateway overMGCP / MEGACO H.248 enabling voice/data TDM to packet conversion via supported codecs
SS7 SIGNALLING OVER
- E1,T1, J1 ,T3, DS3, OC3 STM-1 interfaces
- SIGTRAN, M2UA, M3UA, M2PA

Delivering SS7 to NAS Modem Dial-up Service
Modem call is made into SS7 network, the SVI_MGC identifies the called number is for ISP. The SVI_MGC SS7 Gateway Controller activates modem termination on the 3rd-Party media gateway over MGCP / MEGACO H.248.
SVI_MGC Deployed in a Distributed Network Architecture
Enabling ISDN over SIGTRAN IUA on 3rd-Party Media Gateways
The SVI_MGC allows carriers to deploy a fully distributed network architecture ? with Signalling/Media Gateways deployed at remote POPs backhauling SS7 signalling over SIGTRAN M2UA/M3UA into a centralised MGC.
This provides centralised routing capabilities, centralised billing and can allow carriers to present a single SS7 point code to all their SS7 POPs.
ISDN OVER SIGTRAN
- ISDN is connected to the Media Gateway
- ISDN is backhauled over SIGTRAN IUA to SVI_MGC
- ISDN - H.323 / ISDN – SIP conversion performed by the SVI_MGC
- SVI_MGC controls the Media Gateway over MGCP/MEGACO enablingvoice/data TDM to packet conversion
